The solution still remains Mathematically valid but the physical scenario it represents will be very different, or in practicality infeasbile. A depth ratio approaching 1 would mean the model effectively simulates wave propagation in a region of uniform depth. There won't be any noticeable change in the wave's speed or height due to depth variation, as there is no variation. So it no longer actually models a Tsunami.

https://es.mathworks.com/help/symbolic/solve-a-partial-differential-equation-tsunami-simulation.html, I want to ask that if "h1<<h2" condition could be changed, like depth ratio is 0.5,0.9,or 1, then the solution is correct?
