I am running Matlab R2014a with network license. Matlab gave me following error when I run
normrnd(0,1)
Error:
License checkout failed.
License Manager Error -4
Maximum number of users for Statistics_Toolbox reached.
Try again later.
To see a list of current users use the lmstat utility or contact your License Administrator.
Troubleshoot this issue by visiting:

I tried 'LMTOOLS'> 'Server Status'> 'Perform Status Enquiry'. It outputs the following.

Flexible License Manager status on Tue 4/21/2015 16:03
[Detecting lmgrd processes...]
Error getting status: Cannot find license file.
The license files (or license server system network addresses) attempted are
listed below. Use LM_LICENSE_FILE to use a different license file, or contact your software provider for a license file.
Filename: C:\flexlm\license.dat
License path: C:\flexlm\license.dat;
FlexNet Licensing error:-1,359. System Error: 2 "No such file or directory"
For further information, refer to the FlexNet Licensing documentation,
available at "www.flexerasoftware.com".
Is there any way to know how many License are available for a specific toolbox and a list of users whose who are using it?

Is your use case an end user perspective? Like you want to contact someone to free the key?
Or is it you are an admin and want to count etc?

The admin has log files and sometimes reports and can collaborate with MathWorks to identify the best number of keys or if a different license type makes sense.
