Need Help using MatchMaker on Matlab Online - Stuck with the same issues for weeks. Can't figure out how to adjust year horizons or data

I need help with Matchmaker when you are using Matlab Online. It doesn't work anywhere near as it should when you want to use regular Matlab. I give it data and it doesn't plot it. I think I have narrowed down where it gets the species data from, but I am not sure because I can't adjust the data in the file and get it to show on the interface. What I mean to say, is that I have adjusted the first point of a particular species, but it doesn't change on the interface. I've adjusted it on every data file I have, but it still doesn't show up. When I close the data file and reopen it, the changes are there, but they are still not showing up on the plot.
I tried to put year horizons into the matchfile and it doesn't plot the them. I've tried to copy the year horizons from other files and it then plots the original ones that I am trying to change. I've tried to change those directly on the variable file, but you can't save the new variable and so it plots the original years. I delete the matchfile altogether and it says that it needs the matchfile. So, I try to save the matchfile with my made up years, but then it says the matchfile doesn't exist. I've made a new empty matchfile, but you can't save anything into it. And you can't save the years using the interface, so you are left with an empty matchfile and no way to draw the year horizons.
I am losing my mind. There has to be a way to get the program to work or at least see where it is getting the data to make the plots.
And starting this morning, it started doing this weird thing where it is putting the depths in numerical order, but only for some of the data, not all.
If there is anyone out there that can help me work through this madness, I would really appreciate it. I was once able to work through Matchmaker using MATLAB2009, but then Matlab stopped supporting that version and now nothing works. It also doesn't seem to work with other versions either.
Here is the function information. MATCHMAKER version 2.02, 27 February 2007, Sune Olander Rasmussen
