If you need a general USB interface able to handle any kind of USB device, then MATLAB does not provide that.
Is the device acting like a disk drive, or is it acting like headphones, or is it acting like a camera, or like a microphone?
If it is a data collection or data output device, those usually implement virtual serial port interfaces, which can be talked to as if they are normal serial() devices (provided that the device was already connected when MATLAB started.)
