my project is to control a revolute joint on simulink via potentiometer wired to Arduino uno, and i am using a PID controller. the model runs well at simulink, but it gives me this message"Algebraic loops are not supported in generated code. Use the 'ashow' command in the Simulink Debugger to see the algebraic loops" when i deploy to hardware

In fact, it is a problem to use algebraic loops. Thus, you'd need to remove alebraic loops by employing transfer function approaches in your model. Here is the help documentation of mathworks:
