importing an excel table with words

I got an excel table with text and numbers. The code below does not allow me to display the text properly in the matlab table. how can i import the file as cell array so words can be read as well?
fileToRead = fullfile('C:\Users\Untitled Spreadsheet.xlsx');
circa1 = xlsread(fileToRead);

'xlsread' returns 3 outputs -
[numOnly, textOnly, rawDataInCellArray] = xlsread(xlFile);
If you need the data in only cell array format, use the below style :
[~, ~, mydata] = xlsread(xlfile);
Please try 'help xlsread' to get more info.
