Processing of live video stream on LAN(through media server)using MATLAB

I want to create an application having GUI in which one can select live video stream coming on LAN from IR camera connected to media server.Once live stream is selected,the video will be processed and quality enhanced and displayed to end user. I am new to MATLAB,so please help me.Thanks in anticipation

using computer vision tool box,vision.videofilereader can directly read urls.
