Create a .azk results file with Cogent in MATLAB (for use with CheckVocal)

I am using CheckVocal to check my .wav files (spoken responses) from a Cogent task, and would like to see the correct response (as text) with each audio file. I believe that in order to do this I need a .azk file, normally produced m=by DMDX. Can I make this in Cogent/MATLAB, or is there another way around it?
Thanks,
Kate Riggall

Is this link the Cogent that you are referring to?
And the DMDX is this one ?
Hi Walter,
Sorry for the delay in responding.
Yes, that is the .azk file, and those are the programs I'm talking about. I guess what I'm trying to figure out is whether I can use the 'correct answer' function without having used DMDX. The readme states that
"CheckVocal reads the correct vocal responses from a text file named like the item file plus “-ans”. For example, for experiment Exper1.rtf, the answers should be in Exper1-ans.txt and this -ans file should reside in the same folder as the .rtf and .azk files. This text file should contain one line per trial (item), and each line should contain the item number (matching the experiment file!) and the correct response as a character string (word). For example, if you have the following two items in Exper1.rtf: +100 * "yes" / ; +200 * "no" / ; and if “yes” and “no” are in fact the correct vocal responses to these displayed word stimuli, then Exper1-ans.txt must contain these lines: 100 yes 200 no"
I have tried creating this .ans file and putting it in the folder with the .wav files, however this doesn't seem to help. I could easily create a text file with the format of the .azk file, but I'm not sure how I would save it with that extension. I also don't have a .rtf file, but I don't think it's required.
Thanks,
Kate
Hi all, I've asked the creator of CheckVocal, turns out what I was trying to do was not possible with the current version, but will be with the next one.
