GLCM for image segmentation

GLCM is generally used for image classification using texture properties, but i want to know whether GLCM can be used for segmenting an image by taking GLCM properties for small regions of the image. I have not seen any works like that so far. So is it possible or advisable even? Please help me.

What do you mean by small, if it's so small that it can't even be considered large enough to have any texture? Why don't you just upload your image to tinypic.com and let us suggest segmentation methods rather than you assuming GLCM is the way to go.
