yousef - how is this question different from the one posted at http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/251538-how-to-find-the-indices-of-a-point-on-a-curve? There were two answers to your question, both of which can be adapted to suit your needs.

Ok ,thanks Geoff ,it was long time ago ,I'm doing a PhD composed of many parts,when I came back to this part ,I could not obtain the same results.However,this morning ,It works again and things are fine Thanks
