skltn = bwmorph(binaryImage, 'skel', Inf); %obtaining skeleton of a binary image
%Now, how do I go about finding the fork points?
%Please note I am working with human skeletons. So, essentially a human skeleton should have two fork points
%One at the neck and the other at the waist

Yes I understand your point. What I am referring to as 'fork points', bwmorph calls it branchpoints. Trying with 'branchpoints' should do the trick. Thanks a lot!!
