custom signal to a rc transmitter

I am conducting a flight test experiment on a rc helicopter using a DX18 transmitter, where i need to excite various channels of the control input using a frequency sweep signal. is there a way to use matlab to interface with the transmitter to input the custom signal into the helicopter controls. please help.
