Dear Sir,
My name is Mohamed Elwakdy. I am Ph.D. Student at Faculty of Engineering - Ain Shams University. I am looking to create radar system as a Simulink by using Matlab Program. The radar system is including of transmitter and receiver. The transmitter is including of:
1- Chirp Generator
By the chirp generator, there is chirp signal as saw tooth signal form low to high frequency (from 100 Mbps to 600 Mbps) and repeat periodically....
2- Operational Amplifier
The chirp signal is as input of operational amplifier.
3- Laser Diode
The output of operational amplifier is as input of laser diode. I want the laser beam to carry the chirp signal to range (R) is 200 meter the object so I would like to know "What are the characteristics of operational amplifier and laser diode that can help me to do that?"

okey, chirp signal can be generated from vco block in comm.block set drived by saw tooth from signal genrator in source block set then use gain of operational amp. and then add integer delay then make product of delayed signal and transmitted signal then low pass filter according to fre. used then take fft and scope

Can you please provide me with the link to read more about your answer in details???
I am looking to use the laser diode in my research in Ph.D so Can you please provide me with the characteristics of laser diode and the operational amp. that I can use them as inputs of the chirp signal (100 MHz to 600 Mhz?? If so, I would like to provide me with the equations of laser diode and operational amp. to use them by the MATLAB...
