How to detect the scarf in an image ?

Dear Team,
I've an image of a man with head scarf. How do i segment just the scarf and face portion alone?
Details of my project:
1. Firstly , I have to identify men wearing scarf (Scarf color could be 1. Red and white checked 2. Black and white checked 3. Half white 4. White)
2. Segment the scarf alone along with face
3. Recognize face and give a score based on visible facial features.
My work : I've done the coding for face recognition part and requesting your guidance in recognizing the scarf.How do i go about in recognizing scarf and segment the scarf along with face? Your ideas would definitely be of great help.
