Simulink System Object Property - Variable sized properties in handle classes are not supported

Hi All
I have a Simulink System Object for which I created several properties. I set some of the properties in the constructor method and the model runs fine in Interpreted Mode. When I try to run in Code Generation mode I get the following error:
Variable sized properties in handle classes are not supported
This operation defines 'example.s' as unknown.'.
I am not sure where to start even. Any ideas will be appreciated.
