i have a excel sheet with phase angles, i want to plot a polar plot only with the phase angles, can anyone tell me a proper function ?

polarplot() is new as of R2016a. Before that you should use polar()

which -all polar
I suspect that you have put your own code into a file named polar.m and then you try to invoke the MATLAB polar() function inside of your own polar.m .
