How to define figure position in subplot1?

Dear all,
I would like to use subpot1: https://se.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/9694-an-improved-subplot-function/content//subplot1.m
Could you please let me know how to define the position where I want to plot a figure?
I have defined the position as follows with the function subplot: subplot(1,3,1) subplot(1,3,2) subplot(1,3,3) ... So, the last argument defines the position. However, that doesn't work with subplot1

Hey Maria,
In order to put a subplot on focus in 'subplot1', you need to call 'subplot1' with one argument which is the number of the subplot. For instance, the commands below create a 2x2 grid, puts focus on the forth subplot, and plots a line there.
subplot1(2,2)
subplot1(4)
plot(1:10)
