projection of data with given lon,lat

I have 3 vectors of longitude, latitude and some value for the given lon and lat which will act as the color scale, the vectors contain 100,000 values. how do i project this data using a map projection, for example project on to this: axesm('hammer', 'Frame', 'on', 'Grid', 'on');

If you have axesm, that means you have Mapping Toolbox, so try the scatterm function.
