Is it possible that you are using an Easycap hardware device, rather than ezcap software? I do not seem to find V.TOP2 or ezcap

hardware I'm using: SONY CCD camera, V.TOP External USB Video/Audio Capture Card. software: ezcap video capture is used to view the camera in screen. I'm now aiming to use matlab image acquisition to control this system but MATLAB cannot connect with hardware, how to solve this problem? is this because this brand of frame grabber is unusual? thanks

the link of frame grabber: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Top-Longer-External-Video-Capture-Windows/dp/B01MXEAHV1/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1481555764&sr=8-1&keywords=B01MXEAHV1 and ezcap is the software download from internet to capture the image.

The manufacturer's information about the device appears to be http://www.vtopu.com/cp/showproduct.php?lang=en&id=39
I am not able to find ezcap; please post a link to it. I am only able to find easycap .

The vtopu FAQ for the product shows that the video portion has driver name "USB2.0 VIDBOX FW". That appears to correspond to an honestech device that looks quite different. honestech appears to be owned by VIDBOX, but VIDBOX was only created in 2015 and the device appears to date from 2012 or earlier. This is all confusing.
When I download the driver from vtopu and open the driver on OS-X I find that in the installer it calls itself "ezcap VIDEOGRABBER" and says that it is from EchoFX Inc, which appears to be https://www.echofx.com/ . That company does deal in video capture drivers for OS-X, but the product names it uses do not include VIDEOGRABBER.
I find a claim that "Easycap" renamed itself to ezcap . But that company claims to be a UK/USA company, and clearly the device you are looking at was made in China.
This is all confusing.
... Why this all matters is that at the moment we do not know if it is even possible to control your device from MATLAB. If we were to track down what device you have and the driver, we might be able to figure it out from driver documentation (if we can find any.) And if not from direct driver documentation, by tracking down what the device actually is we might be able to find a Linux driver that is compatible with it and read the source, perhaps by way of information at https://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Em28xx_devices

this is really confusing. The frame grabber is made in China and software shown me to download is eazcap video capture.matlab cannot find this frame grabber in image acquisition tool but only the built-in camera. do you think it is available to connect the CCD camera directly with my matlab and controled by image acquisition tool? thank you so much!!

I installed in Windows but could not find trace of a driver or software with the proper name. The capture software that came with it was by Arcsoft and had a name unrelated to ezcap .
Please indicate which operating system you are working with; I suspect you are working with Mac ? Also which MATLAB version?

Have you installed the USB Webcam support package?
I really don't know if moving to Windows would help. I am more comfortable on Mac.
I installed the ezcap on OS-X El Capitan and started up the videograbber software. It gave me an error -9405 with reference to the built-in Facetime camera. I pulled in a USB webcam and selected it in the Digitizers menu of the software and it was happy with that.
I suspect that once the echofx driver is installed and the USB Webcam Support Package is installed, that the hardware should be accessible as a USB Webcam in MATLAB. But I do not know... so much about the product is unclear, and I do not have one to test with.
