For different representation of image, if we extract same features(feature extraction techniqe is same)then concatenate those features..then can we use feature selection...

I am giving different representation to images....and extracting same features (same feature extraction technique) and concatenating those features as (a+b)...To avoid redundancy I am using any feature selection technique....Am I doing right?
