Matlab Builder JA or NE

I am doing a senior project for school. I am developing a cellphone application to remotely control an iRobot Create. I have successfully communicated with the iRobot using a desktop computer via Bluetooth. Is it possible to use the functions I have already created in Matlab (including COM port setup) such as, fread and fwrite and compile them using Matlab Builder JA or NE and have them work the same? I know the functions I am using are not for computation or graphics, but I was hoping I could still use Matlab Builder. I really need some assistance. I'm pretty lost.

It looks like you do not have the products available to test it yourself. You may call MathWorks Sales and ask for a trial or ask whether an Application Engineer can consult with you.

It should all work the same way since these functions are deployable.
