i am calling a function

'function watermarkedImage = fembed (originalImage,watermark,key)'

from the callback of a gui fig.here key is the value entered in text box by user which is collecter by

key= get(handles.scramblekey,'string');

now i am passing this key value to function fembed as:

watermarkedImage=fembed (orgImage,wtrImage,key);

but the value which actually gets passed to function is a char 'key' so it gives error while executing function.can anyone help plz
