    fid = fopen('sp3data.txt');
    tline = fgetl(fid);
    while ischar(tline)
        disp(tline)
        tline = fgetl(fid)
    end
    fclose(fid);

Read about contains , strcmp, strfind etc..to check whether your desired string is present in the line...and save them .
