How to draw Simulink blocks with arbitrary connections?

Started as answer to an old post , still relevant.
Simscape or the older Power Systems toolbox provide in/out ("physical") pins, allowing arbitrary connection of blocks, without classic Simulink checks if outputs are connected to outputs.
Simulating these requires the respective toolboxes and licenses, but how about just drawing?
In Simulink, is there a way to draw blocks with arbitrary connections?

Hi Bardo,
In this case, it would be helpful to know more about your specific workflow and if this is a question of simulation or of using Simulink as a drawing tool. Are you hoping to be able to connect blocks that Simulink doesn't allow you to connect (such as Simscape blocks from different domains)? If so, I do not believe there is a way to workaround this limitation since the main purpose of the software is to prepare functional models for simulation.

Hi Julia,
thanks for your reply.
I would like to create a new domain with the possibility to connect more than two ports, no cross-domain connection is planned.
Can you provide the required information?
