How can I merge and align multiple picture in one picture?

I want to merge and align the images as shown in the picture. The images should be stayed as original, not distorted or not stretched. Larger number of pictures will overlap the lowers.
I tried imregister but failed. I don't have a computervision tool box for panorama. Is there any other solution?

Hi Sungwoo,
I would suggest trying out the combination of the following:
  1. Create a montage of the multiple pictures. You can use the montage function in MATLAB or the imshowpair function in MATLAB with 'montage' as an argument.
  2. Then you can focus on aligning the images. You can either use the imwarp function to perform geometric transformation or you can derive the functionality of a file exchange submission. https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/27251-imtranslate.
