How to generate a .mat file from an image database,,,,?

Actually we are taking a image database of 165 images and want to create .mat file from it with variable X with size (#x#) double and Y size (1x#),double,,and we are not able to create that,,,,,please help me..,,, #-any no after generating of a .mat file

we have total of 15 folders of images with 11 images in each folder of size (100x100)....so want to create a .mat file from that....with x(#x#) doubles and Y(1x#)...,,,,
