How can I treat georeferenced image with coordinate value

Hello there, I want to ask how to use georeferenced image in matlab.
I know Imported georeferenced image have coordinate value like longitude and latitude. But Imported data is just metric which start from (1.1). So I have hard time to use it. For example, when I clip that image, I cut it proportionally. And result is not correct.
I want to deal it with coordinate value. Please tell me the method. thank you.
