genetic algorithm

I am developing a project based on ga and from the result i should claim that method with ga is best. The output shows the value of Best fitness and Mean values. Terms like stall and generation also.
How can i confirm that my method is best from those values mentioned above and whats the definition for stall, generation.

ga probably is not the best approach for your project. But you can go ahead and *claim* that it is the best, as long as you understand that your project will not be good science.

you cannot claim that from these values because they basically just show the result of the algorithm. a stall generation is one in which the algorithm did not improve

My project is based on developing a genetic algorithm for path planning of autonomous vehicle and i dont know where or how to start. Can somebody please give some directions on how to go about it?
