Is there a way to launch a GUI without opening Matlab?

I am wondering if there is a way to run a GUI from any desktop.

You can (typically) double-click on a .m file on a system that has MATLAB installed in order to have MATLAB open the file in the editor.
If what you are trying to do is run the GUI without MATLAB being installed, then to do that you need the (somewhat expensive) product MATLAB Compiler .
(Note: there are a number of things that cannot be compiled. For example, nothing in the Symbolic Toolbox can be compiled.)
