transferring output of opencv to malab and processing it real time

I have a c code to track a color in a video and print its coordinates. I want to redirect this output to matlab. I tried running the example mex files which come with matlab but it says "cant compile mex.cpp" and "cant create mex.mxw32" any idea on how to proceed?

Yes,I was not getting it after running the mex set-up. I had to change the file name to ".c" from ".cpp" to get around with this error. Thanks for replying though!
