How to stitch images taken from a camera that only moves in a horizontal plane (no pitch and yaw)?

I have tried Hugin, Microsoft image composite editor, Autostitch as well as ImageJ. The limitation of Hugin, ICE and Autostitch is the requirement of no translation for camera. ImageJ works well for most of the images for my case. I am wondering if we can stitch the images taken by camera having transnational motion using Matlab script. Any suggestions? Thanks.
The example given by this link may be only applicable to the camera without translation, in my opinion. Maybe I am wrong? https://se.mathworks.com/help/vision/examples/feature-based-panoramic-image-stitching.html?prodcode=VP&language=en
