Individual vs Concurrent license for Matlab?

110 次查看(过去 30 天)
I am trying to understand the difference between these two license. When I look at my Matworks account, I see this:
I use Matlab on two computers (Desktop and laptop). Is this page showing the two different licenses I have for the two different computers? If so, why are the license numbers identical?
Also, would the individual license allow me to work on Matlab on my laptop without needing to connect to the university network first?
I have noticed something interesting when I click on the highlighted "Individual" or "Concurrent" labels. The page for the page for the Individual license has an "Install and Activate" tab which is not present in the page for the Concurrent one. What does this mean?

I think I found my answer!
I opened Matlab on the laptop and tried to activate it from within. It asked me to sign into my account and allowed me to pick from one of the two licenses there. I picked the individual one. Once the activation was done, I closed Matlab.
Then I turned off my network connections (wifi) and tried to start Matlab again. Normally and historically, that gave me an error and told me that it couldn't connect to the license server. However, this time around, there were no errors. Matlab started without any internet/intranet/Ethernet/network connections.
Just to be sure, I restarted the laptop and tried repeating the experiment again without any network/internet connections. It worked! I also checked the license file (network.lic) and what's written inside has changed too.
