How to obtain 2D image from 3D model

Now I have a 3D model (X,Y,Z data have known), I want to get two images viewed from two different directions, what should I do? I am thinking <1>do rotation and translation to get another coordinate system, <2>project 3D coordinates on image plane. Is this gonna work? Please give me some advices.
