I am trying to model a planar walking robot, and I have a system of 2nd order, nonlinear differential equations. I read on a MATLAB Answers post that "odeToVectorField" can convert my 2nd order system to a 1st order system, so I can solve it using differential equation solvers like ode45. However, I'm running into the error: "unable to meet integration tolerances". Even using a solver like ode15s runs into the same error. Is there a problem in my formatting of the equations that is causing this to happen? Is it not possible to solve certain differential equations in MATLAB?
