Hi,
Currently I started learning Matlab using online courses but not in a degree presenting institution, I can not afford the personal licence and I really need it for more than few months until I mastered the basics which will make my chances of finding a job in my field better.
My question is: Is there any problem if I purchase and download the student licence, will that require me to present a student ID for activfating the program?
Kindest regards

You are only allowed to use the student licence if you are a student. The definition of 'student' in this context is not always entirely clear, but you can always explain your situation in a bit more detail to Mathworks and ask if they consider you a student for the purposes of licensing. You can contact Mathworks support directly with the 'Contact Us' button at the top of the page.
I am not aware of having to provide any actual proof of being a student when installing/activating Matlab, but doing so without being entitled to use the licence is illegal.
If you really can't afford any Matlab licence, you could consider GNU Octave, which shares most of the basics, but I would recommend you do the investment if you plan to get a job where you use Matlab.

Mathworks has always been clear that Student for their purposes must be enrolled in a degree granting post secondary institution, or in high school .
Online courses that require MATLAB often provide MOOC licenses.
What you should talk to Mathworks about is whether they would consider it acceptable for you to use aa Home license .
