bitset function with LSB algorithm

I use the function: C = bitset(A, bit, v) to apply LSB algorithm

but faced problem when A = negative integers

error: Error using ==> bitset Inputs must be non-negative integers.

so, I want to used bitset function with negative integers to apply LSB algorithm

Don't let the integers be negative. Use an unsigned integer data type such as uint8.
