anyway to set the location of number in colorbar

I have a figure with fixed size, since the size is fixed, the location of number sometimes exceed the limit, leading to imcomplete display:
contour_test.jpg
is there anyway to move it to a lower place (red box in Figure)

You could use xticklabels to make them 0.005, etc.
colorbar('Ticks', [whatever], 'TickLabels', {'.0050', etc.})

The weakness of this method is that, if the value becomes too small, such as 5e-10, displaying it in this way may not be good. the best choice maybe move it to an appropriate location.
