reading frames of a videoinput with a different configuration that is displayed

Hello everyone
I'm working on online processing of a USB camera (UVC) video and I want to process it with a specific .cfg while the preview I would like to display it with another .cfg
Does anyone have some clue how to make this? i don't want to lag my processing either
