Where to download maps Similar to the satellite imagery maps that google maps shows

Hello,

I am hoping to use the Mapping Toolbox to plot GPS locations over time on top of a satelite imagery map.

I was looking for something with a solid resolution since I will be zoomed in on an area the size of one square one city block. I am looking for images simialr to what google maps shows since I am using google maps for a diffremt part of the same project.

Can any one offer advice as to where i could find and download such a map?
