question about 'view' function

Hi:
I have a question about 'view' function.
as can be found in the documentation above, the view is determined by two angles. however, even using the same angle, if you look at the object from different distance, the view would still have difference (zoom in/out effect). so, my question is that, does Matlab have anyway to control this distance? or it is a default number?
Thanks!
Yu

There are a number of options available. One that may do what you want is the 'CameraPosition' (link) axes property. There are several others you can explore that are in the View section of the documentation.

Thank you. after look through this documentation, looks like the carema position should use [x,y,z] as inputs, and 'view' function need two angles as inputs.
perhaps I need to write some short code to use two angles+distance to control the view.
Thank you very much.

My pleasure.
The camera functions allow you to place the camera at whatever distance you choose from the axes (or at least that was true when I last used it a while ago), with respect to the [x y z] coordinates of the axes.
