Creating a GUI for my mex file

Hi,
I have a c++ code, that is a VTK program which is a volume rendering.
When i create my mex file from it, it works great, but I wanted to create a gui to control the camera, for example with buttons to align the camera in the x axis. How can i do it? Can anyone give me a hint? or example?
