Hi, I keep getting the following error when running the example below:
Undefined function or variable 'batchNormalizationLayer'.
The code is written as:
layers = [
imageInputLayer([28 28 1])
convolution2dLayer(3,8,'Padding','same')
batchNormalizationLayer
reluLayer
maxPooling2dLayer(2,'Stride',2)
convolution2dLayer(3,16,'Padding','same')
batchNormalizationLayer
reluLayer
maxPooling2dLayer(2,'Stride',2)
convolution2dLayer(3,32,'Padding','same')
batchNormalizationLayer
reluLayer
fullyConnectedLayer(10)
softmaxLayer
classificationLayer];
I also have the neural network add-on installed so that cant be the problem.

The issue is arising because of different MATLAB version use.
The function “batchNormalizationLayer” is introduced in R2017b version and since you are using R2016b it is showing error.
You can refer to the following documentation for further information and in the version history section you can check for latest updates: https://www.mathworks.com/help/deeplearning/ref/nnet.cnn.layer.batchnormalizationlayer.html#:~:text=using%20GPU%20Coder%E2%84%A2.-,Version%20History,-Introduced%20in%20R2017b
