Displaying the value in cell

i have a values as
gene =
{7x6 cell}
{6x6 cell}
{5x6 cell}
{4x6 cell}
{3x6 cell}
{2x6 cell}
please tell how to display these values in command window,i want to see the result in command window
please help

gene{1}(1,1) will show the content of the first cell so replace the numbers be the desired position or use : to see a range try gene{:} for example
