Matlab Catalina wont open then says not responding but does not show up as running to force quit.. computer lags/restart.

After installing catalina 2019a and b, the b in admin profile..... neither will open and if i get aggressive in clicking on the icon it says cannot open because matlab is not responding....... Screen Shot 2019-11-02 at 8.04.57 PM.png

Currently there is a bug which stops MATLAB License Manager Error message windows from appearing. To find what error is causing MATLAB not to function launch MATLAB from a terminal window using a command such as the one below.

/Applications/MATLAB_R2019b.app/bin/matlab

This should output the License Manager Error, which you can use to determine the root of the issue.
