How to define discrete variables in GA (genetic algorithm)

Hi,
I need to optimize a function has four variables by GA tool (genetic algorithm).
Two variables are continuous like: x1=[1 5], x2=[22 34]
Two variables are discrete like:
x3=[1 1.5 2 2.24 3 3.35 3.5 4 4.5 5],
x4=[17 19 20 21 22 25 27 30 33]
How to define discrete variables in GA (genetic algorithm).
I use GA tool.
