File exchange : ideal cover image size / dimensions ?

Hi,
The whole thing is in the title.
Sometimes my cover images are "recut after" and I find not so obvious to find the right dimensions.
Any clue ?

In the end I found by myself the answer to this question : it is not a matter of size, but of dimensions ratio. The 4:3 format seems to fit perfectly.
