How to get cdf apps running into a newer release of the WebApp Server?

I have an issue with my cdf apps created in Matlab version R2018a and deployed in the associated WebAppServer (also R2018a). When moving them into a newer release of the WebAppServer (R2019a) they doesn't work anymore. How can I solve this without re-packaging the source files in R2019a again? Is there a workaround or a possibility to convert them? This really would save me an enormous amount of time! It is also not a good option to re-package all apps everytime a new Matlab release become availabe. Please help me out with this!
