How to create a menu using GUI

Do you want to have an image that responds to keyboard input?

Hi, thanks for your comment. I don't want to use an image, but only text. Is it possible?

You can use the uicontrol style text to create a block of text. Then make a callback function for a key press. In that callback you can move that arrowhead when the up or down keys are pressed and respond to the enter key being pressed.
