M=30; % length
wc1=.05*pi;
n=0:1:(M-1);
h1 = (wc1/pi)*sinc(wc1/pi*n);
ham=h1.*hamming(M)'; %here we dont need to shift
x=n/pi;
x=x/pi;
plot(x,abs(fft(ham)));

if x is an n-element input signal and t is the time scale
w = 0.54 - 0.46*cos(2*pi*t/(n-1));
wx = x.*w;
