Dear All Mathworks crew,
I am going to make Simulink book in my country Indonesia, a good book usually came with the CD example what we discuss in the book.
my question is, is there any free simulink CD software that can i download and multiply so that i can include the CD inside the book. Or what should i do to make my reader easier to get free copy of simulink program? as i know simulink is not a free software.
please advice..
Best regards

Luhur, the Book program may support you as an author, but I am not aware of a ways you could include the software on a DVD to be included in your book.
I do not know who widespread MATLAB and Simulink are in your country, but in most of the countries where I have customer interaction, almost all unversities have larger network licenses or campus licenses (AKA Total Academic Headcount license) and thus most of the researchers and students have access to MATLAB and Simulink.

There are no evaluation copies for the Student Version licenses.
Evaluation copies for Academic and Commercial licenses are typically 30 days.
Note that if an evaluation copy was requested and received, then if it was not exactly the same version as the DVD software was created with, backward compatibility issues could prevent the DVD software from working as desired.

Certainly, reader of the book can approach MathWorks or here the reseller for Indonesia and ask for a trial license. But it really depends now on the target audience of the book and whether they already have access to MATLAB or not. I really think contacting the company behind the link above is a reasonable next step.
